Pros
- Functional capability to charge the iPhone very effectively which makes it an ideal companion when one goes on longer trips. The music library is amenable for quick browsing in both occasions when the audio control is at the iPhone through its iPod software and at the car stereo.
- Reasonably good sound clarity.
- The remote functions well and acts as a safety device in not distracting the driver’s attention
- Good CD player at a good price and the bundled Sony car speakers are cool looking too
- Capable of being used with Sony Walkman is an added advantage
Limitations
- The CDX-GT540UI contains a blue face plat illumination and the CDX-GT6301UI comprises of a green backlight option and the difficulty is that both of them are not compatible in settling the brightness of the backlight which means while functioning there is a glaring brightness.
- The prev/next button are not user friendly
- Finding a specific USB track involves too many steps resulting in distractions while driving
All in all a desirable possession for the price you pay. This is one of the items you may want to consider to add to your current suite of Sony car electronics devices.
